The property where the cottage is located has been completely renovated and the grounds and landscaping is gorgeous. I stayed in the cottage for a week - late May to early June. The weather was spectacular and repeating again the landscaping was gorgeous with so much in bloom and beautiful lighting at night. My dog Jack was with me and we enjoyed the space and the grounds down to the creek. I am originally from the area and traveled in for a family event. It was wonderful to spend time with my sister there! The cottage was cozy and so comfortable. Everything you need is there. Lawson was very responsive and later in the week was on-site prepping for a wedding. It was very nice to speak with him and learn about the property. The timing for this trip, the space to stay and the weather created perfection. I can't wait to come back and spend time there again. May be when it’s chilly to use the woodstove! Thank you.

So happy we discovered Glenmar Lodge. The grounds are amazing, with plenty of comfortable outdoor seating and beautiful garden spaces. The Lodge was beautifully and meticulously renovated. The space is very clean, beds and pillows are very comfortable, bathrooms are well equipped, and the den has plenty of seating and a cozy wood burning stove. The large kitchen is well equipped and has an amazing 8-burner stove with double oven, which we used to cook a special Mother's Day meal for our family. Communication with the host was excellent.

We had a fabulous three-week stay here while our kitchen was being renovated and absolutely loved the accommodations. The entire area was picturesque, from the moment you enter the property to the thoughtful details all the way down to the pillows on the bed. It truly feels like stepping into another world, while still being close enough to everything you need, which was so nice. The fireplace was especially wonderful on chilly nights. Our stay at Glenmar Lodge at Vincent Forge was our favorite Airbnb yet. The pictures and descriptions of the property in the listing do not do it justice. We are so glad that we found Lawson’s cottage. The property is beautiful, and the cottage is absolutely charming. Lawson & Mike are gracious hosts, and even left us a home-cooked meal, since our drive took 10 hours and we were getting in late. Our Christmas stay at the Vincent Forge Mansion was magical. The stone house built in the 1700s maintains its vintage charm with additions and updates that provide all the modern conveniences. The house was beautifully decorated and for the holiday three Christmas trees, garland and lights were added. The host was very accessible and generous. Given the outside porches, gardens and walking trails, I imagine a stay during warmer seasons would be just as magical.

We were in town for a nearby wedding and were looking for a quiet place away from the hustle and bustle of a hotel. The cottage provided all that and more. The property was breathtaking and serene. There are other rental properties on site but it still felt private and secluded. The cottage was beautifully decorated and had many amenities including snacks and even some thoughtful pantry items. The bathrooms were modern and clean. The beds were very comfy! My favorite was the garden patio with beautiful flowers. It was so relaxing to listen to the sounds of nature at night and loved the morning view of hummingbirds and butterflies. The fortunate visitor will enjoy a vast and verdant park-like setting, enchanting English country-style gardens Lawson designed and tends, a lovingly renovated landmark historic home, every possible comfort and amenity—and best of all, a gracious, charming, knowledgeable host who goes the extra mile for his guests. In our case he procured a special shoo-fly pie we nostalgically craved ( as born-and -raised locals who then migrated in childhood to CA) and regaled us with a mesmerizing historical tour of the property. The young caregiver Liam also stood out as responsive, kind, and helpful. The property offers different configurations to accommodate small to large groups. We cannot recommend the Cottage strongly enough. It is absolutely lovely and the pictures don't do it justice! The grounds are incredible and not only is Lawson extraordinarily responsive but the groundskeeper is also on site and literally available for anything you might need. We arrived to find so many thoughtful items stocked for our stay, everything inside was wonderfully clean, etc. We could not have enjoyed our stay more. The upstairs bedrooms are quite large and spacious, the AC units work beautifully, and it was so nice having the en-suite bathrooms upstairs (both large and spotless) and the half bath down. Lawson truly goes above and beyond-- you definitely won't regret staying in this beautiful little home away from home!

The Cottage at Vincent Forge was the perfect home away from home for the week before our daughter’s wedding at nearby Welkinweir. The property is absolutely stunning with beautiful gardens in a gorgeous Pennsylvania country setting. The outdoor lighting at night is magical. The private patio at the cottage is quite large and full of comfortable seating. The inside of the cottage is clean, charming and an extremely comfortable place to relax! The AC works great. The house is stocked with eggs, bread, coffee and snacks, which are such a nice welcome when you arrive tired! Our host Lawson was so kind and welcoming, even offering to help us transport some flowers to the wedding and allowing us to use his compost pile. We had an absolutely magical stay at the Glenmar Lodge. It looked exactly like the pictures and was the perfect setting for our elopement weekend. Words cannot do justice to describe the Vincent Forge Mansion.  It is stunning and luxurious in every way and the property is a feast for your eyes.  Having spent a week in this lovely home with my husband, I decided this would be a perfect spot to throw him a surprise birthday party.  So I contacted the host and rented the house for a week-end bash.  There was not a second of hesitation when I asked my husband to return to the property for a week-end get away.

 

As for Friday night dinner, a private cook was arranged and Lawson had the table set more beautiful than any wedding or event I have ever attended.  A family memory was made that night, one I am so grateful for.

 

Saturday the friends started to join the festivities and we just loved giving a tour of this historic home and, in my opinion, it’s award winning landscaping.  With several porches surrounding the house, our guests had no shortage of a place to enjoy the day.

The exquisite beauty of this property by day pales in comparison to when they light the touches around the property at night.  Simply spectacular.  So if you are looking to just get away and be in a slice of heaven, or if you are looking for a perfect venue for a special day, visit the Mansion and I am sure you will fall in love with the home and it’s sprawling property.​

Christmas lights and decorations, both inside and out, greeted us. We even had a decorated tree in our living room! Our stay at the Vincent Forge Mansion and Lodge was exceptional. From the beautifully maintained grounds to the well-appointed accommodations, everything was simply impeccable. We were truly overwhelmed by Lawson's hospitality—his thoughtful approach made us feel beyond welcome. From the moment we arrived we felt completely at ease, with every detail designed for comfort. Each room was beautifully restored, maintaining the historic charm of an 18th-century property, while seamlessly blending in modern touches. We particularly enjoyed starting our mornings with coffee outdoors and ending evenings by one of the outdoor the fire pits. Walking around the property during the day felt like a little escape in itself. The surrounding area is stunning, offering plenty of great dining options nearby. We were in town for a mountain biking trip, and the lodge’s proximity to some amazing trails—Mount Penn, French Creek, Birdsboro, Rocky Ridge, and more—made it a perfect base for adventure.

Our stay at the Vincent Forge Lodge was amazing! We hosted a small wedding celebration here and my husband and I spent the night. It was literally the best Airbnb experience we’ve ever had. The property was stunning, the attention to detail and design was impeccable, and the place was spotless. Lawson and Michael were super great hosts - super responsive and checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. The Cottage was the perfect place to stay for our getaway weekend. The property itself would have been worth the price, but the extras (snacks, staples in the pantry, a fire already built in the wood stove, too many others to list) take Lawson and the Cottage to a whole different level. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Philadelphia, but we enjoyed our time at the Cottage just as much. So much so that we opted to have food delivered so that we could relax and enjoy the property. If you're looking to visit Philly, or looking for a quiet place to get away from it, this is it.

The Cottage is a wonderful place to stay and unwind in peaceful comfort. The place was extremely clean, just like the photos, and spacious. The beds were comfortable, the host even provided robes and slippers. The cottage was stocked with everything you will need. The landscaping and patio is beautiful and well maintained. My husband is particular and all the little touches he noticed. Every detail is covered and the host was a great communicator. We have stayed in many rentals, both in the US and abroad and felt that Lawson's place was the best overall so far. The grounds were gorgeous, the interior was adorably and comfortably decorated and the space was squeaky clean. The extra touches were too many to mention! High-end linens and robes, snacks, water, wine, fresh fruit and flowers, food in refrigerator and cupboards for our use....Lawson went above and beyond to help make us feel welcome! You can stroll the expansive grounds down to a creek, or enjoy the patio with table for outdoor dining (with grill), or comfy chairs around a firepit. It really is a special place to stay! I would highly recommend and return in a heartbeat!

The delights to be discovered and savored here are absolutely endless! From the bright yellow Dahlias as big as your head to the breezes blowing through an open window with the lights dimmed. The moment I arrived, I knew I made a great decision. The home was so welcoming, every step I took throughout the home was met with the perfect place to relax, dine or rest. A favorite: the perfectly insulated tub that made for a very relaxing soak! Outside the spaces were perfect for every mood: quiet reflection, exercise or play with the pup, enjoying a morning cup of coffee, conversations on the patio or around the fire pit, a book or an evening glass of wine -- this place answered every want! A walk around the grounds, to the creek, bird sightings, trees that arch and beckon to explore. Beautifully curated flower beds, butterflies along the path to the sunken garden. Fire pits, lanterns & lighting extend the enjoyment of outdoor time on the patio, porch & garden. The hosts were responsive and welcoming, their thoughtful touches and care made my stay feel both luxurious and personal. Definitely recommend for couples/family/friends getaways as well.

What a delightful stay my son and I had at the Cottage during a soccer camp for a week!! Lawson was the most proactive and communicative Airbnb host I’ve ever had, checked in frequently to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed, responded instantly when I had questions, and generally took the comfort of the space to the next level. The cottage itself was just perfect for the two of us, and we could’ve easily fit our family of 5 if we needed to. Beds were super comfy, place was well-stocked, decorations were thoughtful, and the setting was so peaceful and inviting. My only regret is that it was too hot to enjoy the lovely patio, beautiful garden, and well-maintained property. If we ever need to visit the area again for sports, I won’t hesitate to book here again.

I need more than a thousand characters to describe this wonderful home. Our stay at The Cottage was perfect. First, we walked into a cool, clean, inviting space, with fresh-cut flowers & food & water in the refrigerator. The bathrooms resembled those seen in spas. Elegant & well-thought-out. The bedding was high quality & luxurious. The décor was enough to be pretty, but not cluttered. The interior & exterior lighting were well thought out & beautiful. Landscaping & hardscaping were inviting, especially at night. The home has 3 Mitsubishi units throughout, giving us ultimate control of each area. The kitchen had more cabinets & countertop area than an average condo. The Cottage was constructed with above-average craftsmanship. Lawson was friendly & quick to answer our questions. He prepared the home with so many personal touches & conveniences. We felt welcome & special. You could plainly see that he cared deeply about our comfort & wanted us to have a memorable experience.

I guess the correct word to use is “WOW” From the moment we arrived and stepped into the cottage i felt like i was at home. We had an amazing weekend at The Cottage at Vincent Ford Mansion! We have stayed at some of the world's top destinations and highly, highly recommend the Cottage. The Cottage is absolutely lovely and the grounds are spectacular with gardens, seating areas, and a river. Every detail is curated for the perfect stay -- from the beautifully appointed furnishings to the fully equipped kitchen to the luxurious linens and bath products. We were delighted to find wine, chocolates, and meal basics in the home. The written guide to the area was also extremely helpful. The Cottage is dog-friendly and offers bowls, feeding mats, and towels for after a splash in the river! Lawson is an incredibly thoughtful and generous host -- meeting all of our needs and then some. We traveled with an injured pup and Lawson went out of his way to ensure we and our pup were cared for and comfortable at all times. He has even followed-up regarding our pup's condition! Absolutely beautiful, the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. Lawson and Michael have completed a spectacular renovation of the entire property. The gardens are amazing, just walking the grounds is so peaceful. It was so nice we could bring our little dog with us, she loved all the walks. The cottage is extremely clean, and beautifully decorated. The beds are comfortable and the linens and towels were very nice. Everything you need and more to have a wonderful restful vacation. It is just a short 20 minute drive to the outlet mall and so much nicer than staying in a hotel. I can't wait until we need to shop again and we will be back. Hands down the best airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. The thought and care that went into furnishing and decorating this cottage is truly second to none. Lawson and Michael go above and beyond to make their guests feel at home. From the welcome basket with loads of goodies to the many bottles of complimentary wine, this place had everything guests could possibly want. The pantry and fridge were also brimming with essentials. Didn’t need to go out for food or drinks our entire stay. The woodstove, which they had already prepped for us and ready to light, was one of the many highlights. These small thoughtful touches really made for a warm and cozy night in. Absolutely 100% worth the visit! Lawson and Michael have created such a wonderful and memorable experience with this home and it’s rich history. They have seriously raised the bar for all future airbnbs. The cottage is wonderful. 5 Star rating on every aspect from cleanliness to amenities. The beds are super comfy, the linens are luxurious, fresh fruit on the table, basket of snacks, and wine in the kitchen. We arrived late on Sunday and they were kind enough to leave a pasta dinner in the fridge which was amazing (and I wouldn’t share because it was that good!) as well as coffee, eggs, bacon, milk and bread. Seriously, the hospitality we received during this trip far exceeded my expectations on every level. Although this was a work trip, it honestly felt more like a vacation. I could not be more pleased with this entire experience, this gorgeous home, and these amazing host. I can only hope work brings us back in the years to come. I have a feeling it’s only going to get better!!

Lawson was beyond hospitable and accommodating. I have made this trip to PA every weekend for the past 5 years and in that time the number of hotels or airbnbs is countless. This was the first time I was blown away not just by the space but the host. The pictures don’t do the space justice and you can really tell when you arrive Lawson has bent over backwards to make you feel at home.
