My son and I stayed at Vincent Lodge over Labor Day weekend. What a remarkable place! A gem! The garden is beautiful, everything was spotless and well-organized, and the refrigerator was thoughtfully stocked with eggs, bread, fresh milk, and even some snacks. Truly better than any 5-star hotel. Lawson is so kind and welcoming. We can’t wait to visit again!

It’s really hard to put into words how wonderful this place is. You really just have to experience it for yourself. It’s like the Ritz Carlton decided to do an idyllic off the charts AIRBNB. Just perfect. The above and beyond from Lawson is just really hard to express. I’ve never had fresh eggs and a bottle of wine waiting for me at check in. And that’s just the beginning! If you’re thinking about staying somewhere else because it’s a little cheaper up the road, don’t, do yourself a favor and stay here, you will be glad you did, believe me.

We cannot recommend the Cottage strongly enough. It is absolutely lovely and the pictures don't do it justice! The grounds are incredible and not only is Lawson extraordinarily responsive but the groundskeeper is also on site and literally available for anything you might need. We arrived to find so many thoughtful items stocked for our stay, everything inside was wonderfully clean, etc. We could not have enjoyed our stay more. The upstairs bedrooms are quite large and spacious, the AC units work beautifully, and it was so nice having the en-suite bathrooms upstairs (both large and spotless) and the half bath down. Lawson truly goes above and beyond-- you definitely won't regret staying in this beautiful little home away from home!

We had an amazing stay at this impeccably maintained home. The grounds and house were every bit as stunning as the pictures, and even more special to see them in person. The space was perfect for our group — beautiful, but still approachable (comfortable for our babies), and plenty of room to hang out and socialize — we loved the patio and porches.

The hospitality was a real standout, Lawson and Michael thought of all the details to make our stay comfortable and convenient — they provided everything we needed and then some! The serene and beautifully renovated Vincent Forge Mansion is truly a hidden gem. Each room is beautifully appointed, the kitchen is spectacular, the master bathroom is unrivaled, beds are comfortable, the large patio is serene and the gardens are magnificent! Walking the private grounds and pausing on porches made it seem like we were on a wellness retreat. My family was delighted with all aspects of our stay and were especially delighted by Lawson's tour of the historic house, revealing the extent to which he meticulously brought the property to its current state of glory. The Cottage at Vincent Forge was the perfect home away from home for the week before our daughter’s wedding at nearby Welkinweir. The property is absolutely stunning with beautiful gardens in a gorgeous Pennsylvania country setting. The outdoor lighting at night is magical. The private patio at the cottage is quite large and full of comfortable seating. The inside of the cottage is clean, charming and an extremely comfortable place to relax! The AC works great. The house is stocked with eggs, bread, coffee and snacks, which are such a nice welcome when you arrive tired! Our host Lawson was so kind and welcoming, even offering to help us transport some flowers to the wedding and allowing us to use his compost pile. We look forward to staying again when we visit our new in-laws in PA.

Wow. Despite the cold, rainy weekend we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Vincent Forge! We lit the wood stove every day and it kept us cozy and comfortable. We really appreciated the historic aspect of this property and the meticulous renovation that brought it into this century. It was also nice to have a newly remodeled chef's kitchen and spa like bathrooms! The welcome we received was wonderful. The house manual was informative and thorough. Snacks and refreshments were provided and everything we needed to make breakfast the next day. The grounds were beautifully landscaped throughout! Liam, the property manager, was there to answer questions for us and shared historical information about the house. Fascinating! We had an absolutely magical stay at the Glenmar Lodge. It looked exactly like the pictures and was the perfect setting for our elopement weekend. Lawson was amazing, so responsive, and genuinely one of the best hosts we’ve ever had. Our sweet corgis loved the place too, especially the beautiful grounds surrounding the mansion. My husband couldn’t get enough of the beautiful wood stove. I personally loved the king bed and the lovely kitchen. Our time here was absolutely perfect. Words cannot do justice to describe the Vincent Forge Mansion.  It is stunning and luxurious in every way and the property is a feast for your eyes.  Having spent a week in this lovely home with my husband, I decided this would be a perfect spot to throw him a surprise birthday party.  So I contacted the host and rented the house for a week-end bash.  There was not a second of hesitation when I asked my husband to return to the property for a week-end get away.

 

As for Friday night dinner, a private cook was arranged and Lawson had the table set more beautiful than any wedding or event I have ever attended.  A family memory was made that night, one I am so grateful for.

 

Saturday the friends started to join the festivities and we just loved giving a tour of this historic home and, in my opinion, it’s award winning landscaping.  With several porches surrounding the house, our guests had no shortage of a place to enjoy the day. 

​

The exquisite beauty of this property by day pales in comparison to when they light the touches around the property at night.  Simply spectacular.  So if you are looking to just get away and be in a slice of heaven, or if you are looking for a perfect venue for a special day, visit the Mansion and I am sure you will fall in love with the home and it’s sprawling property.​

We loved our stay at Lawson’s cottage at Vincent Forge this past weekend. It was so beautiful entering the property at night as the cottage and mansion were lit up in white lights. It snowed while we were there and Liam was so kind to shovel the path in front of the cottage to our vehicle. We highly recommend you stay here if you’re looking for a place in this area. My husband and our two dogs stayed at Lawson's cottage at Vincent Forge the week before Christmas. We arrived after dark and the property looked like a Hallmark movie as we drove in! Christmas lights and decorations, both inside and out, greeted us. We even had a decorated tree in our living room! Lawson's attention to detail was amazing providing us with wine, a goody basket of snacks, and even food in the refrigerator! We have stayed at numerous AirBnB properties, but none as welcoming as Lawson's cottage. The property was impeccable! There's a beautiful mansion, a historic stone farmhouse, on the property that you can also rent. Lawson provided us with a tour of the mansion and shared much of the history of the property with us. The moment I arrived, I knew I made a great decision. The home was so welcoming, every step I took throughout the home was met with the perfect place to relax, dine or rest. A favorite: the perfectly insulated tub that made for a very relaxing soak! Outside the spaces were perfect for every mood: quiet reflection, exercise or play with the pup, enjoying a morning cup of coffee, conversations on the patio or around the fire pit, a book or an evening glass of wine -- this place answered every want! A walk around the grounds, to the creek, bird sightings, trees that arch and beckon to explore. Beautifully curated flower beds, butterflies along the path to the sunken garden. Fire pits, lanterns & lighting extend the enjoyment of outdoor time on the patio, porch & garden. What a delightful stay my son and I had at the Cottage during a soccer camp for a week!! Lawson was the most proactive and communicative Airbnb host I’ve ever had, checked in frequently to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed, responded instantly when I had questions, and generally took the comfort of the space to the next level. The cottage itself was just perfect for the two of us, and we could’ve easily fit our family of 5 if we needed to. Beds were super comfy, place was well-stocked, decorations were thoughtful, and the setting was so peaceful and inviting. My only regret is that it was too hot to enjoy the lovely patio, beautiful garden, and well-maintained property. If we ever need to visit the area again for sports, I won’t hesitate to book here again.

The gardens are amazing, just walking the grounds is so peaceful. It was so nice we could bring our little dog with us, she loved all the walks. Lawson and Michael go above and beyond to make their guests feel at home. From the welcome basket with loads of goodies to the many bottles of complimentary wine, this place had everything guests could possibly want. The pantry and fridge were also brimming with essentials. Didn’t need to go out for food or drinks our entire stay. The woodstove, which they had already prepped for us and ready to light, was one of the many highlights. These small thoughtful touches really made for a warm and cozy night in. They are well on their way to becoming five-star superhosts.

We had a wonderful weekend at Lawson and Michael’s cottage. The whole place is Pinterest perfect. We loved how quiet and private it was. All the amenities you could ever think of were provided. We appreciated how accommodating they were of our three dachshunds. Would definitely recommend!​

Absolutely 100% worth the visit! Lawson and Michael have created such a wonderful and memorable experience with this home and it’s rich history. They have seriously raised the bar for all future airbnbs. The cottage is wonderful. 5 Star rating on every aspect from cleanliness to amenities. The beds are super comfy, the linens are luxurious, fresh fruit on the table, basket of snacks, and wine in the kitchen. We arrived late on Sunday and they were kind enough to leave a pasta dinner in the fridge which was amazing (and I wouldn’t share because it was that good!) as well as coffee, eggs, bacon, milk and bread. Seriously, the hospitality we received during this trip far exceeded my expectations on every level. Although this was a work trip, it honestly felt more like a vacation. I could not be more pleased with this entire experience, this gorgeous home, and these amazing host. I can only hope work brings us back in the years to come. I have a feeling it’s only going to get better!!

Lawson was beyond hospitable and accommodating. I have made this trip to PA every weekend for the past 5 years and in that time the number of hotels or airbnbs is countless. This was the first time I was blown away not just by the space but the host. The pictures don’t do the space justice and you can really tell when you arrive Lawson has bent over backwards to make you feel at home. Truly an incredible experience and a much needed week of relaxation.

We had a fantastic stay at the cottage. Everything was beautiful in the space and the host went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. This is a special environment and very relaxing in a lovely area. The cottage was very clean and well appointed, you have the feeling of being in nature with refined amenities. We highly recommend the cottage and are so grateful for Lawson’s attentive hosting and communication. We’d love to stay again.
